Camp will meet at Deep River Elementary School (DRES) and Plattwood Park. This week, we will meet at DRES on Monday Wednesday and Friday and weather dependent, camp will meet at Plattwood Park on Tuesday and Thursday.

Days at Plattwood Park on Route 80 will have campers enjoying some sand fun, swimming, arts and crafts, fishing, basketball, kickball, hiking and the skateboard park. We will also have water play to help with the summer heat. Games, crafts and other fun will be provided.

Camp is open to all area youth. The cost for week 1 is $160.00 per camper. Early care is an additional $30.00 per week.
While, there are no enhanced safety procedures planned for camp this summer, should the Governor’s office, local Department of Health or the First Selectman impose new restrictions on camps, we will modify our program accordingly.
In order to try to keep everyone safe, prior to camper drop off, campers will be asked a series of health related questions, such as ‘how are you feeling today?” “Do you have a cough? A headache?”. Any camper found to not be feeling well will not be allowed to enter camp. The camper will have to be symptom free in order to be cleared to return to camp for the remainder of the week. If the child is discovered to be Covid positive, then he/she will not be allowed to return to camp for at least 5 days after symptoms first appeared or until symptom free. A doctor’s note will be required in that case. Should a child be found to be Covid positive, then all campers within that child’s assigned group will be notified. P & R will act according to local health department guidelines whether or not all campers in that group must leave camp until they are cleared by a doctor to return or whether they may remain at camp.
**In order to keep all campers safe, we are pleading with parents to self-report any sickness and to not send their child if they are feeling ill, have a headache, fever or cough.

We will utilize small pop-up style tents and do our best to keep everyone dry, however, on these days, please send a set of extra clothes in case your child gets wet.
**Early drop off or late pick up is not tolerated, and may result in a camper being withdrawn from the camp session**
